Manufactured Expansion Spacing

MCR (Moisture Compensation Ridge)
Optional “MCR” manufactured expansion spacing refers to hardwood flooring with the inclusion of small, machined ridge included to separate flooring board side edges as shown below.

Maple Grades

Infinity’s hardwood flooring is graded according to industry standards set by Maple Flooring Manufactures Associations (MFMA). Complying with the grading rules ensures consistency and uniformity within each grade.

Specifications

Maple specifications should list the required species should list the required species, grade and thickness. A typical specification for your choice of maple should appear as follows:

Random Length Strip Flooring

A. Flooring shall be MFMA-RL (Random Length) Northern Hard Maple, 25/32″ thick x 2-1/4″ wide, Second and Better Grade: T&G and EM; grade marked and stamped as produced by an MFMA member manufacturer.

B. Flooring shall be MFMA-FJ (Finger Jointed) Northern Hard Maple, 25/32″ thick x 2-1/4″ wide, Second and Better Grade: T&G and EM; grade marked and stamped as produced by an MFMA member manufacturer.

C. Flooring shall be MFMA-PQ (Parquet) Northern Hard Maple, 7/16″ thick , Second and Better Grade; fastened together in panel using mesh, tape or wire backing or paper facing;  grade marked and stamped as produced by an MFMA member manufacturer.
